CR8-SDC Rollformer

 

Ductformer’s CR8-SDC Rollformer has both versatility and flexibility. Altogether the Multiple Roll Tooling configurations that are available on the CR8 including Slip and Drive Cleats, Male and Female Snap-Lock, Pittsburgh, Acme Seams, Tri-Plex, and Standing Seam.

The CR8-SDC Rollformer produces Slip and Drive Cleats on the inboard Rolls. Two (2) Auxiliary Roll Sets are available for the outboard Roll Shaft extensions. Optional Rolls include Pittsburgh and Male / Female Snap Lock, Acme Rolls, and Tri-Plex. Precision craftsmanship and materials with direct drive oil bath gear reduction make the CR8 the quietest machine in it’s class! See the difference, hear the difference!

The sealed Bearings are protected from contamination eliminating lubrication or maintenance. The Oil Bath Gear Reduction Transmission Unit (U.S. brand) is both quiet and smooth running. Just like the other Ductformer Rollformers, all of the CR8’s tooling options are made in our own machine shop on new CNC machines.

CR8-CF Cleat Former

 

Ductformer’s Model CR8-CF forms the Drive Cleat Flange on the end of the Duct. This is in a single pass through operation for use with both L-Shape or Full Wrapper Duct. All our standard Rollformers, the System features an all gear drive, direct oil bath gear reduction and sealed (lube for life) bearings to provide the smoothest, quietest Rollformer on the market to date. The Roll Tooling forms the 180° Drive Cleat hems on one edge of the pre-notched sheet metal. As the pre-cut Duct passes through the Model CR8-CF, the System senses the notch to form the Cleat Edges for L-shape and Full Wrapper Duct. The Small Parts Feed for smaller Duct or Fittings comes standard on the Drive Cleat Edge Former. Parts are clamped onto the Roller Guide and fed through the Rollformer.

CR8-CF-DH Dual Head Cleat Former

 

In brief Ductformer’s Model CR8-CF-DH Dual Head Cleat Former forms the Drive Cleat Flange on both ends of the Duct in a single pass through operation. The System overall can be incorporated into any existing Duct Fabrication System to produce 4’ and 5’ L-Shape or Full Wrapper Duct.

As can be seen the quality and integrity of all our standard Rollformers, the System features an all gear drive, direct oil bath gear reduction, and sealed (lube for life) bearings to provide the smoothest, quietest Rollformer on the market to date. In summary, the unit consist of two (2) Rollform Head Assemblies mounted parallel side-by-side and positioned from Handwheel Leadscrews. The Roll Tooling will form the 180° Drive Cleat hems on both edges of the pre-notched sheet metal. Hence while the pre-cut Duct passes through the Cleat Edge Former, the System senses the notch to form the Cleat Edges for L-shape and Full Wrapper Duct.

 

For Systems using combination TDFC and “S” Slip and Drive Cleat operations, the Rollformer features By-Pass Conveyors. As can be seen by using the Handwheels provided, the Form Rolls open wider and the part can be by-passed or transferred through the By-Pass Conveyor then to the next form sequence.

Ductformer’s Dual Head TDFC Rollformer is designed for installation in existing duct coil lines or can be used as a free standing unit. The rollformer is designed to accept and form the TDFC (F or C-Style) flange down both edges of the 18 – 26 gauge blank. Our robust yet simplistic design makes the TDFC Rollformer the work horse of any shop for many years to come.

CR8 Auto Feed Rollform System

 

The Automated CR8-SDC Auto Feed Rollform System is designed to feed and form the Flat ’S’ and Drive Cleats on the inboard Rolls directly from coil stock. The Automated System consists of a Dual Station Coil Cradle, Flying Shear Cut Off Die, and Pre-Tooled Rollformer to form either Flat ‘S’ or Drive Cleat sections in a single pass through operation. The Pre-Tooled Rollformer consist of one (1) Set of Hardened and Polished Steel Roller Dies to form the Drive Cleat Profile and One (1) Set of Hardened and Polished Steel Roller Dies to form the Flat ‘S’ Profile in a single pass through operation. Rolls will form the section from 22 – 26 gauge galvanized mild steel.

A User Friendly / Programmable Controller will sequence the strip feed and cycle the Cut Off Die based on simple batch quantity and part length inputs. CR12-TDFC Rollformer

The TDFC Flange application has proven to be the most cost effective method to construct and install commercial rectangular ductwork. The C-Style Flange provides the extra strength and rigidity to sustain the Air Duct System.

The Ductformer TDFC Rollformer features an All Gear Drive, Oil Bath Reducer, heavy duty spindles and quality Anti-friction Sealed Roller Bearings to provide years of maintenance free service. For this reason you will discover how quiet and smooth the Ductformer performs. The quality of craftsmanship and superior design puts Ductformer years ahead of their competition.

 

The heavy duty all steel frame construction features a full 24” Infeed Table with through hardened tool steel Infeed Guides. We make the Roll Tooling on our CNC Turning Centers. This helps ensure every machine produces the same high quality formed profile you expect from Ductformer.

Each Ductformer TDFC comes with our Small Parts Feed Guide. Parts and fittings are clamped to a roller carriage to firmly hold the part as it passes through the Form Rolls.
